SELINSGROVE — Ruth A. Wagner, 67, of Fair Oak Road, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Aug. 26, 1945, in New Berlin, a daughter of the late Earl and Loretta (Dershem) Stahl. On Dec. 18, 1970, she married Jack L. Wagner, who survives.
Ruth attended Mifflinburg High School.
For many years she worked in retail sales for Goodwill Industries, Shamokin Dam and retired from there at the age of 65.
Mrs. Wagner was a devoted member of the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Vacation Bible School.
She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and planting flowers. She was very proud of her home and kept it in tip top shape. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara A. and Michael R. Ferree, of Selinsgrove; one granddaughter, Lauren N. Ferree; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Junior and Ann Stahl, of Winfield, and William Stahl; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Terry Stimmel and Edith and Rodney Bingaman, all of Mifflinburg, and Esther and Clair Kuhns, of Millmont.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, and two brothers, Donald and Timothy Stahl.
Friends and family may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene, 543 W. Sassafras St., Selinsgrove, where the funeral service will begin at 11 with the Rev. Charles H. Melton officiating.
Burial will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
