Caroline L. Woody, 68, Milton

MILTON — Caroline L. Woody, 68, of Milton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.  

She was born Aug. 11, 1944, in Union County, a daughter of the late Adrian D. and Martha M. (Shiffer) Klinger. She was married for 28 years to James E. Woody, who preceded her in death in May 2005.

Caroline was employed by various health care facilities as a certified nursing assistant.

She attended Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Milton.

Caroline’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends, whom she adored.

She is survived by one stepdaughter, Sylvia A. Conrad and husband, Wilbert “Jake” Conrad, of Montandon; one stepson, Rick L. Woody and wife, Valerie, of West Milton; four stepgrandchildren, Jacob Conrad, Angela Yost and husband, Brandon, Megan Guffey and husband, Brad, and Kayla Bender and husband, Luke; six stepgreat-grandchildren, Lauren, Hunter, Madison, Nolan, Maggie, and Lila; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Tina Klinger, of Northumberland; one sister, Bonnie Fogelman, of Milton; two stepbrothers and their wives, Maurice Jr. and Patricia Rheppard, of Sunbury, and David and Marcella Rheppard, of Arkansas; four stepsisters and their husbands, Sally Zimmerman, of Sunbury, Lena and Glenn Leitzel, of New Columbia, Martha and Ernie Reese, of Washingtonville, and Jane and Donald Horne, of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by one stepson, Jimmy E. Woody, and one stepbrother, Charles Rheppard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Carol’s life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 71 Nazarene Lane, Milton, with the Rev. Keith Mowen and the Rev. Larry Keiser, officiating. Friends will be received at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.  

Burial will be private in the Montandon Cemetery.  

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the church’s Benevolent Fund.
