PALMYRA — Martha P. Styer, 92, of 7 Green House Lane, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra.
She was born May 30, 1920, in Milton, a daughter of the late Franklin E. and Edna V. (Murray) Pardoe. On June 14, 1944, she married Bruce F. Styer who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1986.
Martha was a graduate of Montandon High School.
She was a member of Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg, a member of the Buffalo Valley Grange and a charter member of the local chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of Retarded Citizens.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard F. and Brenda Styer, of Severna Park, Md., and Donald B. Styer, of Bloomsburg; six daughters and four sons-in-law, Virginia A. and James Moore, of Gratz, Ruth L. Styer and Chris D’Alessio, of Havertown, Edna C. Styer, of Phoenixville, Patricia E. Styer, of Middletown, Carol E. and Jack Studer, of Hummelstown and Jean M. and Brent Hunter, of Glenville; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Gertrude Pardoe, of Milton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Lazarus and Alice Pardoe, and one brother, Elwood as a child.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with her pastor, the Rev. Michael Romig officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dreisbach Church Cemetery.
