LEWISBURG — Kathryn “Katie” Roadarmel, 84, of Lewisburg, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Milton, a daughter of the late Fannie Elizabeth (Bennage) Brown and stepdaughter of the late Weber Brown. On June 22, 1946, she married Charles F. Roadarmel, who preceded her in death in 1994. They were blessed to have shared a marriage of 48 years.
Kathryn attended Milton School District and was a member of the class of 1946.
Over the years Kathryn was employed at Chef Boyardee, JPM, Philco Cabinet, Moore Business Forms, and Weis Markets.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren Sherri and Brian, who brought enormous joy to her life. She enriched their lives with memories that are immeasurable. She also shared many laughs and memories with her friends at the Arrowhead Restaurant, and bowled for many years with the Women’s League at the American Legion in Lewisburg.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Yvonne Roadarmel, of Port Trevorton, and David F. and Sue Ann Roadarmel, of Leiwsburg; two grandchildren and their spouses, Sherri and Daniel Barnahrt, of Northumberland and Brian and Lauren Roadarmel, of Harrisburg; one great-grandson, Michael Barnhart, of Northumberland; and two sisters, Cheryl Keener and Margaret Follmer.
A private service and burial will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathryn`s memory may be sent to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 or to Far point Collie Rescue, 1035 Red hill Rad, Port Trevorton, PA 17860.
Funeral arrangements are by the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
