KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Todd W. Kratzer, 52, of Kingwood Township, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.
He was born Jan. 23, 1960, in Sunbury, Pa., a son of the late William and Harriet (Ketler) Kratzer. He was married for 18 years to the former Deborah J. Drelich, who survives.
Todd lived in Sunbury before moving to Kingwood Township in 1993. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a master’s degree in environmental resource management, was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and became a professional engineer.
Todd most recently worked for the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, Somerville, as a senior watershed protection specialist. Before that, he worked for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the Delaware River Basin Commission for 15 years and the U.S. Geological Survey, Harrisburg, Pa.
He was a member of Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He also was a member of the Kingwood Township Planning Board, the Kingwood Township Board of Health, a life member of the East Sunbury Volunteer Hose Company and the Sunbury Social Club.
Todd was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his beloved family. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Christopher T. and Samuel J., both at home; one brother, Greg Kratzer, of Mechancisburg, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 11 to noon Saturday at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, Holland Township, followed by a memorial service at noon.
Interment will follow in Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Upper Black Eddy, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund set up for Todd’s sons, payable to the Kratzer Children Fund, c/o PSECU, P.O. Box 67013, Harrisburg, PA 17106-7013.
