NORTHUMBERLAND — Elnora A. Geise, 96, formerly of Point Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland where she had lived since February 2010.

She was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Delmar, Del., a daughter of the late John W. and Emma (Eister) Furman. On March 18, 1918, the family moved to Point Township where her father later founded the Furman Canning Co. On March 23, 1940, she married Norman A. Geise who preceded her in death March 1, 2000.
