Bernice C. (Klinger) Yohe, 95, Lewisburg

— LEWISBURG — Bernice C. (Klinger) Yohe, 95, a resident of Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village for 2 ½ years and formally of Pillow, entered into eternal rest at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.  

She was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Dalmatia, Northumberland County, a daughter of the late Penrose and Ida (Kratzer) Klinger.  In 1936, she married William E. Yohe who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1982.  

She attended Eureka schools and was a member of the Pillow God’s Missionary Church.

Bernice was a seamstress at the Millersburg Shirt factory, retiring in 1978.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marlene Y. and Robert J. Sholley, of Lewisburg; one grandson, Jody W. and his wife L. Renee Sholley, of Mifflinburg; one granddaughter-in-law, Mary P. Sholley, of Harrisburg; two great-grandsons, Heath J. Sholley and Dustin R. Sholley, both of Mifflinburg; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Daniel Wagner, of Lewisburg, Nicholas Wagner, of Portland, Ore., and Matthew Wagner, of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bernice was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott S. Sholley; one great-grandson, Zachariah R. Sholley; seven siblings, Mae Phillips, Fae Smeltz, Ida Smeltz, Amelia Henninger, Fred Klinger, Lee Klinger and Kay Klinger.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12 E. Market St., Mifflinburg, followed by a celebration of Bernice’s life at 11 with Pastor Wayne Krell, officiating. Following the service, all are invited to fellowship with the family in the church hall.  

Burial will follow the fellowship time in Union Cemetery, Herndon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bernice’s memory may be made to Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2, Beavertown, PA 17813.  

Funeral arrangements are by the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
