Nora M. Reader, 85, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Nora M. Reader, 85, of Sunbury, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the SUN Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

She was born in Northumberland on Aug. 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Clement and Iva (Bobb) Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Reader, on May 15, 2005.

She was a member of the Lady Rebekah lodge for 58 years.

She enjoyed flower gardening and crocheting.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Gloria and Carl Snyder, of Sunbury, Joyce and Robert Conrad, of Harrisburg, and James and Cathy Reader, of Sunbury; seven grandchildren, Kevin Conrad, Bryon Conrad, Carla Clark, Darin Snyder, Jason Snyder, Matthew Reader and Jaime Reader; nine great -grandchildren, Brandon, Grace, Drew, Blake, Taylor, Madison, Tori, Isabella and Charles.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert, and by one sister, Gladys Stuck.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 2.

Burial will be in Lantz’s Cemetery in Rockefeller Township.

 In lieu of flowers donations to SUN Home Hospice, 61 Duke St., Northumberland, Pa. 17857.
