Ronald I. Bingaman, 78, Danville

DANVILLE — Ronald I. Bingaman, 78, of 35 Blue Springs Terrace, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in Northumberland on July 24, 1934, a son  of the late Arthur and Martha (Reichenbach) Bingaman. He married the former Marsh J. Hendricks on June 18, 1983. Ronald was Marsha’s rock, her love and her most cherished friend.

He graduated from Northumberland High School in 1952.

He was formerly employed at Miller’s Furniture in Sunbury, Paulsen Wire Rope in Sunbury, TRW in Danville and last by Branch Motor Express in Milton.

Ronald was a life member of the East End Hose Co. Sunbury, the National Rifle Association and the Norry Gun Club, where he also served as treasurer. He was an avid skeet shooter and gunsmith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by seven children: Ronald Bingaman Jr and wife, Kim, of Milton; Wesley Bingaman and wife, Sandy, of Sunbury; John Bingaman and wife, Melody, of Selinsgrove; James Bingaman of Sunbury; David Barrett and wife, Kristi, of Sunbury, Cheri Longenderfer and husband, Nathan, of Sunbury and Kish Barrett of Danville. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Ronald was a devoted husband, loving father and a cherished, good friend.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 309 Water St., Northumberland, where the funeral will be held at 11.
