Bonnie J. Snook, 71, Middleburg

MIDDLEBURG — Bonnie Jean Snook, 71, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at her home.

She was born April 23, 1941, in Center Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Harry and Lorna Predix. On Aug. 22, 1961, she married Dale W. Snook, who survives.

Bonnie was a 1960 graduate of Middleburg High School.

She had been employed at Kinney Shoe and the JPM Co. and had done in-home health care.

Bonnie was of the United Methodist faith.

She enjoyed gardening and flowers and going to yard sales. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Samantha Snook, of Alfarata, and Jay E. Snook and fiancee Cindy Walter, of Lemoyne; one daughter, Michelle D. Keiser and fiance Tom Shartzer, of Beaver Springs; five grandchildren, Shaine, Dale and Joshua Snook, Heather Russell and Nathan Hicks; three stepgrandchildren, Megan Nace, Dani and Cody McKnight; eight great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson; one brother, Jacque Predix, of Middleburg; and two sisters, Norma Gray, of Debary, Fla., and Kim Levan, of Hellerstown.

Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Bob Klingerman officiating.

Burial will be in Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Cemetery.

Contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 Seventh Ave., Suite 1802, New York, NY 10001.
