Robert B. “Bob” Miller, 74, Lewisburg

LEWISBURG — Robert Bruce “Bob” Miller, 74, of 3019 Johnson Mill Road for more than 20 years, went to his heavenly home to be forever at peace after a long illness at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Dec. 20, 1938, in Mifflinburg, a son of the late Bruce K. and Lillie (Ulrich) Miller. On May 30, 1964, at Foursquare Gospel Church, Buffalo Crossroads, he married the former Darlene M. Lloyd, who survives.

He was a self-employed mason for many years and later worked for Gerald Lloyd Construction before retirement.

Bob was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church, Buffalo Crossroads.

Bob loved to ride his Moped and was well known for spending many hours riding throughout the area. He raced his race car, the “Golden Opportunity,” at Beaver Springs in the 1970s. He loved racing and even made revisions on his moped to go faster. Bob also enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors as much as he was able.

He loved his wife of 49 years and family and often mentioned how his wife took such good care of him over the years. He made many sacrifices to ensure his children’s happiness, and his grandchildren were all very precious to him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Miller, of Mazeppa, Gregory Miller and his paramour, Ardie Auman, of Mazeppa, and Kris and Lisa Miller, of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Brian Zettlemoyer, of Mazeppa; four grandchildren, Krissy, Madison, Ethan and Riley Miller; and five stepgrandchildren, Michaela Phillips, Kortney Phillips, Ashley Zettlemoyer, Brittney Zettlemoyer and Brandon Dunkleburger.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Miller, and one sister, Regina Reichelderfer.

Family and friends are invited from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, the former Buffalo Crossroads Elementary School, 954 Johnson Mill Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 with the Rev. Daniel H. Hicks officiating.

Burial will be in Mazeppa Union Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to Darlene M. Miller, 3019 Johnson Mill Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837.

Funeral arrangements are by the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.
