MILTON — Anthony E. Swartz, 25, of Upper Market Street, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Williamsport.
He was born Jan. 19, 1988, in Lewisburg, a son of Tammy Showers, of Florida, and Roger Swartz, of Milton.
Tony was a 2006 graduate of Milton Area Senior High School.
He was employed by Keystone Clearwater Solutions.
Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to music. He also loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and his friends. He could light up a room with his infectious smile and sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Eli G. Swartz, of Washingtonville; three stepbrothers, Fred D. Beers, of Hughesville, Logan M. Beers, of White Deer, and Donavan F. Beers, of Milton; maternal grandparents, Sandra L. Showers, of Milton, with whom he lived, and Charles R. Showers Sr., of White Deer; paternal grandparents, Bonnie L. and Nelson R. Swartz, of Watsontown; paternal great-grandmothers, Virginia M. Laylon, of West Milton, and Betty V. Herman, of Selinsgrove; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Wertz, of Houston, Texas; and his mentor and friend, Avery E. Turner, of Milton.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Oscar P. Swartz and Jean Wertz.
Friends and relatives will be received from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 2:30 with the Rev. Butch Woolsey officiating.
Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Contributions in Tony’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
