SELINSGROVE — Donald B. Fisher, 90, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Donald was born April 14, 1922, in Milton, a son of the late Russell and Nellie (Benfer) Fisher. For 68 years, he was married to his favorite girl, the former Gertrude E. Diehl who survives.
He attended Sunbury High School and served in the Army during World War II.
Donald and his father operated Fisher’s Service Station in Shamokin Dam.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister-in-law and her husband, Ruth M. and George E. Fox; niece, Candyce Duffy and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Donald G. and David B. Fisher; and two brothers and one sister
At Donald’s request there will be no visitation or viewing.
A graveside service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Gunter of Otterbein United Methodist Church officiating.
Contributions in Donald’s memory may be made to Geisinger Children’s Hospital.
