SELINSGROVE — Geraldine T. Leonard, 78, formerly of South Market Street, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Oriental, a daughter of the late William and May (Knouse) Minium. On Nov. 3, 1978, she married Harold T. Leonard who preceded her in death on April 10, 2010.
Geraldine was a 1953 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
She had been employed by the Fremont Post Office, the Leonard Garment factory, Mount Pleasant Mills, H.J. Williams Construction, Nottingham Village, Northumberland, and Blough-Wagner Manufacturing, Middleburg.
She was a member of St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ Church, Mount Pleasant Mills. She served as a church organist and pianist for many years.
Geraldine’s favorite pastimes were fishing and doing puzzles, especially with her husband. She will be remembered for the immaculate home she kept.
She is survived by one daughter, Heidi L. Kerstetter, of Harrisburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Harold A. “Tony” and Sylvia Leonard, of Selinsgrove; one grandson, Christopher Leonard, of Mount Pleasant Mills; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary and Donald Fogel, of Richfield, Erma Heintzelman, of Selinsgrove, Orpha and George Glace, Fern and Bob Barner, and Kay Minium, all of Mount Pleasant Mills; four brothers and sisters-in-law, William Jr. and Cindy Minium, of Richfield, Clarence and Peggy Minium, of Middleburg, Robert and Joann Minium and Leon and Nancy Minium, all of Mount Pleasant Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers-in-law, Sara and Percy Leitzel, and Glenn Heintzelman.
Family and friends will be received from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ Church, followed by the funeral at 2 with the Rev. Roger L. Womer officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
