LEWISBURG — Donna M. Silvers, 38, of 1623 Jefferson Ave., passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2013, in Lewisburg.
A native of New York, she was born Aug. 12, 1974, in Queens, a daughter of the late James and Mildred (Parks) Atkinson. She was married to Dominic J. Silvers Sr., and her death breaks a marital union of 13 years.
Donna was a graduate of GAR High School in Wilkes-Barre.
For the past two years, she was employed as a secretary for the Mifflinburg Area School District, and before that, she worked for Tudor L. Thomas, an oral surgeon.
Donna was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg, and volunteered for the Lewisburg Little League.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, baking and making people laugh.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Dominic J. Silvers Jr.; one brother, James Atkinson II; one sister, Karen Noss; one nephew, James Atkinson III; and two nieces, Victoria Atkinson and Heather Yaron.
Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg, followed by a Christian wake at 7 with the Rev. Msgr. William M. Richardson officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Donna’s memory be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
