Carol A. Klock, 66, Herndon

HERNDON — Carol A. Klock, 66, of Herndon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Lois (Hummel) and Gery E. Ulrich. On Nov. 14, 2003, she married Douglas A. Klock, who survives.

Carol was employed at JGOH Packaging, Amity House and last at the Herndon Fire Company as a bar manager.

She was a member of Erdman Sportsman Club, Lower Mahanoy Fire Company, Goodwill Hose Company, Alvin E. Long Post 504 and Women of the Moose.

Carol enjoyed working in her flower beds, collecting Boyd’s Bears and blue glassware. But her main passions in life were managing the Herndon Fire Company, shopping for the supplies, decorating and organizing the dances and other functions. She also enjoyed her dog, Mia.

She is survived by her loving spouse, Douglas; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and John Percoskie; one granddaughter, Amy Percoskie; one grandson, Dustin and Jeness Underkoffler; three stepchildren and their spouses, Nicci and Todd Brandt, Jacob Klock and Levi and Holly Klock; two stepgrandchildren, Dawson and Amber Brandt; one brother, Donald Ulrich and companion Vickie King; and one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Ted Biernstein.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, followed by a memorial service at 11 with the Rev. Rick Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to Mostly Mutts, 284 Little Mountain Road Sunbury, PA 17801.
