NORTHUMBERLAND — Rita C. Sosnoskie, 79, of 58 Neitz Road, formerly of 823 W. Pine St., Coal Township, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born in Shamokin on July 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Willis) Gotaskie.
She was a graduate of Coal Township High School. She was married in St. Stephen’s Church on Aug. 25, 1956, to Martin B. Sosnoskie Jr., who passed away April 22, 2003.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Shamokin.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Gotaskie, of Sunbury; one sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Raymond Savage, of South Abington Township; one sister-in-law, Marily Gotaskie, of North Brunswick; nieces; and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Theresa London; and three brothers, Francis Gotaskie, Edward Gotaskie, and Frankie Gotaskie.
Visitors may call from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Church, 863 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, with the Rev. Adrian Gallagher officiating.
Comittal services will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township.
