BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Theresa Puckett, 62, of Brooklyn, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, a patient at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Before moving to Brooklyn, she was a resident of Catawissa, Pa.
She was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Greencastle, Pa., the daughter of the late Vincent Spodobalski and Annabelle Carbaugh.
She was a member of the 1969 graduating class of Mechanicsburg High School. Many years later, Theresa graduated from nursing school during the mid-1980s and received her certification as a licensed practical nurse.
For many years, she worked throughout Pennsylvania as a professional care giver.
When time allowed, Theresa loved crocheting gifts for her family and loved completing word puzzles. Theresa had a large fondness for carousel figurines and throughout the years loved adding to her vast and unique collection.
Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Christine and Paul Snyder, of Locust Gap, Pa., Charles Robert III and Jennifer Puckett, of Bloomsburg, Pa., Jeremey P. Puckett, of Brooklyn, Nathan Puckett, of Lebanon, Tenn., and Pollyanna Puckett, of Brooklyn; and her four grandchildren.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen Funeral Home Inc., 745 Market at Eighth streets, Bloomsburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Graveside services will immediately follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Pa.
