Sharon A. Reader, 69, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Sharon A. Reader, 69, of Sunbury, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

She was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Annabel Henninger. On Aug. 31, 1969, she married Terrance H. “Terry” Reader who survives.

Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Sunbury High School.

She was employed for many years as a retail clerk in grocery stores and the former Town & Country store.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Sunbury since 1965.

Sharon enjoyed camping, reading, crocheting and bingo, but most of all she enjoyed the company of her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa A. and James Neitz, of Snydertown; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles L.L. and Tonya Reader, of Sunbury; two grandchildren, Jordan L. and Charles L.L. Reader Jr.; one brother and sister-in-law, Randell “Butch” and Sue Ellen Henninger, of Sunbury; one niece and nephew, Kimberly and Randell Jr.; and great-aunt, Jean Showers, of Chula  Vista, Calif.

She was preceded in death by one nephew, Brian Henninger on March 20, 1991.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury with the Rev. Ronald Troup of Faith United Methodist Church, Sunbury, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sharon’s memory may be made to Grace Lutheran church or Faith United Methodist Church, both of Sunbury.
