Marie E. Lesher, 67, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Marie E. Lesher, 67, of 332 S. 10th St., passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Manor Care, Sunbury.

She was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Ruth (Minier) Dugan, of Turbotville, and the late George Dugan. In 1969, she married Milton A. Lesher, who survives.

Marie formerly was employed by the Pennsylvania Gas Co.

She was a member of God’s Missionary Church, Sunbury.

Marie enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and crafts.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Milton J. Lesher, of Sunbury; one daughter and son-in-law, Marie R. and Kenneth Hubler, of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Jamie M., Tiffany A., Ashley E. and Courtney M. Hubler; one sister, Kathy Mabus, of Illinois; and three brothers, George Dugan, of Turbotville, Kenneth Dugan, of Virginia, and John Dugan, of Phoenixville.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at God’s Missionary Church, 820 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 2.

Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Funeral arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
