BLOOMSBURG — Audrey J. Auman, 90, of 900 Cherry Hill Road, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center, Bloomsburg, where she lived since May 2011.
Born in Devizes, England, on April 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Mildred Ruth (Dawes) Oram. She lived in Bloomsburg for the past 28 years and formerly lived in Sunbury for many years.
Audrey was employed as a cashier by Weis Markets Inc. for about 40 years in Sunbury and Bloomsburg.
She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed gardening, birds and dogs. She always had a lot of friends wherever she lived.
She became a British war bride when she married Franklin H. Auman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra J. and Richard L. Heim, with whom she lived, and Nancy R. and Garry W. Burgard, of Hughesville; one son, Timothy L. Auman and his partner, Alex Cancio, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey and Bert Brunozzi, of Bloomsburg, Jason and Krista Heim, of Chester Springs, and Chad and Andrea Wagner, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepgrandchildren and their spouses, Tracey and Michael Noviello, of State College, and Leslie and David DeFusco, of Virginia; and nine great-grandchildren, Chris, Nick and Julie Brunozzi, Carter, Brogan and Karis Heim, Nash Wagner, Quin Barannaka and Shea DeFusco.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, pastor of Lightstreet United Methodist Church, officiating.
