Miriam M. Adams, 90, McClure

McCLURE — Miriam M. Adams, 90, of Ridge Road, passed away early Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at home.

She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Belltown, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mertie (Snook) Arnold. In August 1944, she married Fred J.H. Adams, who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1999.

Mrs. Adams attended Krick’s school.

She was a member of Lauver’s United Methodist Church, McClure.

Miriam previously was employed at the Lewistown Shirt Factory and also at Davis Manufacturing in Beaver Springs.

She enjoyed going to the Beaver Springs Senior Citizens Center each Thursday and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry L. Adams and Fred S. and Sandra Adams, all of McClure; four grandchildren, Seth Adams, Alison Martinez, Dustyn Adams and Nikkol Dorman; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Dustyn Jr., Alyssa, Kyle, Alexa, Grayson, Colby and Cameron; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Delores Arnold, of McClure, and Boyd and Sheila Arnold, of Arizona.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by one brother, Fred Arnold, and one sister, Eva Folk.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11a.m. Thursday at Lauver’s United Methodist Church, McClure, where the funeral will follow at 11 with Pastor James Jacobs officiating.

Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
