WATSONTOWN — Robertta P. “Bobby” Greiff, 84, formerly of Turbot Avenue, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Watsontown Health and Rehab Center.
She was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Donald and Pearl Botts (Gaschnig) Cashner. On April 8, 1954, she married Jacque F. Greiff who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1988, after 34 years of marriage.
A graduate of Milton High School, Bobby earned a nursing degree from Jefferson School of Nursing in Philadelphia.
She worked as a registered nurse at Evangelical Community Hospital for 40 years. Following retirement she enjoyed being a volunteer at the hospital and a member of the Evangelical Hospital Auxiliary.
Bobby was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Dewart.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine G. and Thomas F. Hess, of Lewisburg; four half brothers and their spouses, Robert Cashner and Edward Cashner, both of Etters, Richard Cashner, of Felton, Del., and Dennis Cashner, of Winnabow, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law.
A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in the Watsontown Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, Dewart, PA 17730, or to Evangelical Community Hospital, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
