DALMATIA — Thomas Lee Bray, 64, of Dalmatia, passed peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 13, 1948, at his home in Trevorton, a son of the late William Thomas and Mercie Mae (Snyder) Bray. On Dec. 7, 1973, he married the former June Lenker who survives. They celebrated 39 years of marriage.
Thomas graduated from the Trevorton High School in 1966.
He retired from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 2003, after 32 years of service, where he was employed as a heavy equipment operator.
Thomas was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed Penn State football and wrestling and the Phillies.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Jo and Chris Harold Lenker; one grandson, Tyler Lee Lenker, who meant the world to him; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley and William Foulds and Beverly Lahr; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ginny Bray; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, an infant Gary Bray and William “Nip” Bray.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Church, 11 Church Road, Klingerstown, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.
Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery.
