Paul R. Prichard, 69, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Paul R. Prichard, 69, of Sunbury, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Williamsport Hospital.

He was born June 19, 1943, in Ashland, a son of the late George and Elsie (Knock) Prichard. On Aug. 18, 1984, he married the former B. Holly Emsweller, who survives.

Paul graduated from Ashland High School and the Belleville Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. He served as a captain in the Army during the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1972.

He was employed as a registered nurse at various nursing homes, including Nottingham Village, Northumberland, and the Mansion, Sunbury. He was last employed by Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

Paul was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his wife.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
