Ralph E. Edmeads, 81, Danville

DANVILLE — Ralph E. Edmeads, 81 of 220 Jerseytown Road, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Grandview Health Care Center, Danville.

He was born March 14,1931, in Vineland,N.J. a son of the late Harold and Florence (Rugh) Edmeads. He was married for 60 years to the former Evelyn Shaffer, who survives.

He was a member of the Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, a member of the Danville Masonic Order; a Navy veteran and the past owner and operator of Edmeads Electric.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Bonnie Edmeads, and Scott and Mary Edmeads, both of Danville; two grandchildren, Jason and his wife Shannon of North Carolina and Nick, of Danville; one great-grandson, Smith of North Carolina; as well as one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Helen Edmeads, of Danville.

Preceding him in death was one brother Raymond Edmeads.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brady Funeral Home Inc., 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11 with his pastor, the Rev. Shawn McNett officiating.

Burial will follow in Elan Memorial Park.

The family will provide flowers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ, Box 1, Diehl Road, Danville, Pa. 17821 in Ralph’s memory.
