Nora K. Coldren, 89, Mechanicsburg

MECHANICSBURG — Nora K. Coldren, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at her home.

She was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Nora Dyer Dietz.

She was a 1942 graduate of Sunbury High School.

Nora was a retired executive secretary for Cumberland Valley High School. She was a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, Mechanicsburg.

Nora was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph D. Coldren; her brother, George Dietz; and two sisters, Louise Sandra-Burns and Helen Plock.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Terry Ford; two sons, Clinton W. Coldren, of New Orleans and Joseph A. Coldren, of Lock Haven, Pa.; one brother, Walter Dietz, of Camp Hill; one sister, Mabel Snyder-Bricker, of Glen Rock; three grandchildren, Clinton C., Stephanie, and Brandon Coldren; and two step-grandchildren, Richard and Christopher Thompsom.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill, followed by funeral services at 11.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.

All are welcome to the celebration of Nora’s life at Visaggio Restorante, 6990 Wertzville Road, Enola at 3 p.m.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pa. in memory of Nora K. Coldren, 1320 Lingelstown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
