MIDDLEBURG — Marian J. Stahl, 76, of Middleburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunbury.
Marian was born on Oct. 13, 1936, in Middleburg, a daughter of the late Russell H. and Beulah R. (Walter) Heimbach.
She was a 1955 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
Marian retired from New Quaker Manufacturing, Mifflinburg. She was a member of Chapman Community Chapel, Port Trevorton.
She was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking and gardening. Marian especially enjoyed spending time with her son, Rick, fishing and traveling.
She is survived by her four children, Philip A. Stahl and his wife Darlene C., of Middleburg, Ricky “Rick” L. Stahl, at home, Barbara A. Kreamer and her husband Brian J., of Beavertown, and Carol M. Smith, of Allenwood; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry R. Heimbach and his wife Betsy, of Mifflinburg; one sister, Loretta J. Gaugler, of Port Trevorton, and many nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded by a brother-in-law, the Rev. Truman A. Gaugler in 2007.
The family will receive friends for the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, followed by the funeral service at 2, all from the George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin E. Rathmell.
Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery, Port Trevorton.
