Larry Steven Schreffler, 67, Williamsport

WILLIAMSPORT — Larry Steven Schreffler, 67, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, after battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years.

He was born April 4, 1945, in Dillsburg, the son of Alma Starr Schreffler and the late Marlin Jefferson Schreffler. Larry grew up in Leck Kill and spent most of his life in Williamsport.

A 27-year veteran of Tetley Tea, Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed many years as a pitcher of slow-pitch softball. He was a kind, gentle spirit who will be missed greatly by friends and family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara Reidinger Schreffler; one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Ursula Schreffler, of Dillsburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Jule Schreffler and Ernie Eller, of Mooresville, N.C.; and was blessed with six grandchildren, Austin, Leah, Shyla and Leslie Schreffler and Kyrsten and Duncan Eller.

Services will be held Friday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 201 S. Baltimore St., Dillsburg, with the Rev. Lois K. Van Orden officiating. A visitation begins at 10 a.m. with a ceremony following.
