MIFFLINBURG — John Robert Stamm, Jr., 60, of 318 Fisher Circle, entered into rest at 7:03 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his home.

He was born Feb. 29, 1952, in Lewisburg, the son of John R. Sr. and Betty M. (Ruhl) Stamm, of Millmont. On Nov. 20, 2008, he married the former Wanda Jo Renner, who survives.

John was a 1970 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.

He owned and operated the Mifflinburg Telegraph since 1992. He began working at the Telegraph at the age of 17. John also worked as a printer at Wood-Mode, Kreamer, for 13 years.

John had a courageous spirit, loving nature and an amazing sense of humor. He also had great love for the entire Mifflinburg community. John’s passion was cooking, and his love was printing. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are one son and daughter-in-law, Jeromy and Shanon Stamm, of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and John Peck, of Celebration, Fla.; one stepson and stepdaugher-in-law, Eric and Christine Verret, of Selinsgrove; and two grandchildren, Jillian and Gwen.
