RICHFIELD — Warren Swartz, 89, of Richfield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his home.
Warren was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Richfield, a son of the late Monroe L. and Vesta (Kepner) Swartz. On May 26, 1945, he married the former Jean Kramer, who survives. His passing breaks a loving marital union of more than 67 years.
He attended Juniata County schools.
Warren was engaged in farming and also worked with his father at ML Swartz & Son as a heavy-equipment operator.
Warren was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church.
He was a jack-of-all-trades, demonstrated by his skill in television repair and sales, and was a gifted woodworker. He had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying small planes. He also enjoyed hunting in his earlier years.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by two children, Ronald Swartz and wife Diane M. Swartz and Sandra (Swartz) Dauberman and her husband, Ken, of Middleburg; three grandchildren, Melissa Steffen and husband Dwayne, of Middleburg, Sherri Howe and husband A.T., of San Francisco, Calif., and Shane Swartz and his wife Sheri, of Richfield; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded by one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marie Swartz, and one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Schell.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by the funeral at 11, at Richfield United Methodist Church, 90 Church St., Richfield, with Pastor Vernon E. Shenberger officiating.
Burial will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
