LEWISBURG — Oren Leroy Moll, 79, of 340 JPM Road, entered into eternal rest at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where he was a guest since Sept. 30. He had lived in Kelly Township since March 2012 and before that lived on Lohr Road, Mifflinburg.
He was born Oct. 3, 1933, in West Buffalo Township, a son of the late Francis Earl and Hattie Jane (Aikey) Moll. He was united in marriage in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg, by the Rev. Raymond Fisher on Oct. 23, 1952, to the former Doris Irene Yost, who survives. Doris is a well known area organist and pianist.
Oren was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School, Class of 1952. He was engaged in agriculture in Buffalo Township, Union County, from 1955 until 1965. He then was employed at the former Farmers Best, East Lewisburg, from 1964 until 1965. He was the parts manager at the former Watson Motors’ Buick dealership, Mifflinburg, from 1966 until his retirement in 1999.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg, where he served numerous terms on the church council. He also was a member of the Nittany Mountain Antique Machinery Association and the Middleburg Antique Farm Machinery Association.
He and his wife, Doris, enjoyed RVing, having made three trips in the RV to St. George, Utah, during the winter months.
He served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict, enlisting in Mifflinburg on July 6, 1953, and was honorably discharged as a corporal at Camp Kilmer, N.J., on April 26, 1955. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Occupation Medal of Germany.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one daughter, Susan A. Leininger, of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Shane L. Leininger and Kayla Marie Leininger; one sister-in-law, Twila R. Yost, of Mifflinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Leroy Moll, in 1956; one brother, Floyd Henry Moll; one sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Moll; and one brother-in-law, M. Oren Yost.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 Market St., Mifflinburg, with the Rev. Kris L. Brown and the Rev. Vickie L. Brown, pastors of the church, officiating.
Private interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Mifflinburg.
A visitation with the family and light refreshments will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

The Moll family is being served during this trying time by a longtime friend, James L. Schwartz, funeral director.
