SUNBURY — Jeanette L. Leitzel, 76, of 938 Reagan St., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Danville, a daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Boone) Hulsizer. On Nov. 29, 1952, she married Harvey V. Leitzel who survives.
Jeanette attended Danville High School.
She was a former employee of the Danville Silk Mill. She and her husband owned and operated the Duke Street Hotel in Northumberland for a number of years.
Jeanette enjoyed travelling, playing poker, doing puzzles, but most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband who is a patient at Manor Care, Sunbury, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Scott Wenrick, of Sunbury; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristopher and Scott Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Myalynn and Noah; five sisters, Darlis Star, Joan Rothermel, and Barbara Harris, all of Danville, Madeline Lewis, of Sunbury, and Marion Cox, of Elysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Louise in infancy; and one sister, Maureen.
The funeral is private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Danville.
