Norman D. “Brownie” Brown Jr., 66, Lewisburg

LEWISBURG — Norman Daniel “Brownie” Brown Jr., 66, of Lamplight Lane, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at his home.

He was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Norman Daniel Sr. and Naomi (Smith) Brown. He was married on May 2, 2003, to the former Carol Reaser, who survives.

Dan was a 1964 graduate of Milton Senior High School and a 1968 graduate of the Harrisburg Barber School. He was a Navy veteran.

He was employed for 44 years by ConAgra, Milton, retiring on July 1.

Dan was an active member of the Susquehanna Valley Carts Car Club, and his 1966 Corvair convertible was his pride and joy. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Norman Daniel Brown III, of Milton; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy J. and Dale Dreisbach, of New Columbia; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Joan Brown, of New Jersey; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Rees Powell, of New Jersey; and three granddaughters, Deavon Dreisbach, Sarah Brown and Alexandria Brown.

Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Doug Schader officiating.

Burial with military honors will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
