MIFFLINBURG — Terry Lee Vonada, 62, of 101 Meadow Lane since 1974, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 8:46 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born April 9, 1950, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Stewart and Mae (Brindle) Vonada. On Nov. 18, 1972, in Woodward, he married the former Linda L. Wallace, who survives.
Terry was a 1968 graduate of Penns Valley High School.
He was employed at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, for 34 years. Earlier in life, he was employed at BZ Motors, Lewisburg, for 11 years.
He was a dedicated member of Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg, since 1980, and he served as an usher and painted many church signs. Terry also was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Terry enjoyed hunting in Woodward and bowling.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Forrest Wenrick, of Laurelton; half brother, Stewart Vonada Jr.; half sisters, Susan, Donna, Joan and Wendy; mother-in-law, Violet I. “Dolly” Wallace, of Mifflinburg; stepmother, Jean Vonada, of Watsontown; godchildren, Joshua, Phillip and Victoria; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Bible Church, 1650 Centennial Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 with the Rev. Samuel Knisely and the Rev. Kevin Rathmell officiating.
Burial will be in Hillside Church Cemetery.
