Florence M. Kenney, 80, Ashland

ASHLAND — Florence M. Kenney, 80, of 1526 Center St., passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Emmanuel Nursing Center in Danville.

She was born April 23, 1932, in Ashland. She was married to John Kenney, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Florence attended Ashland schools and worked for the Ashland School District and North Schuylkill schools until she retired.

Florence was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Ashland.

She is survived by one daughter and three sons, Mary Ann Gates, of Gordon, John Kenney, of Austin, Texas, Michael Kenney and his wife, Lori, of Northumberland, and James Kenney, of Ashland; two sisters, Claire Falcone, of North Wales, Pa., and Mary Lou Wagner, of Hespria, Calif.; four grandsons, Stephen, Matthew, Ryan and Shawn; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Ashland, at the convenience of the family with the Rev. John W. Bambrick as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ashland.
