MILTON — Margaret E. Follmer, 78, of Limestone Road, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at her home.
She was born May 6, 1934, in Danville, a daughter of the late Weber and Fannie (Bennage) Brown. On Feb. 14, 1953, she married the former Glenn H. Follmer Jr. and they had celebrated 56 years of marriage until his death Feb. 26, 2009.
Margaret was a 1952 graduate of Danville High School.
Margaret was a homemaker most her life but had also worked at Philco in Watsontown and Milton Shoe in Milton.
She was a member of the Watsontown Alliance Church for over 50 years.
Margaret had many hobbies including crocheting, canning, and making blankets for her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, especially with the “Golden Girls” playing cards.
Surviving are six children, four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael D. and Debra Follmer and Mark A. and Susan Follmer, all of Milton, Marvin W. and LeeAnn Follmer, of Watsontown, and Martin L. Follmer, of Washingtonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcy A. and Dustin Bogart, of Sunbury, and Melinda K. and James Marr, of Danville; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Donald Keener, of Muncy.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Roadarmel Criswell.
Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Watsontown Alliance Church, 1165 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Donald Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery, Hagenbuch Loop Road, Danville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions in Margaret’s memory may be made to Watsontown Alliance Church, 1165 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown, PA 17777, or Evangelical Hospice, 130 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Funeral arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Home, Watsontown.
