Keith A. Bordner, 53, Sunbury

SUNBURY — Keith A. Bordner, 53, of 1005 Penn St., died in his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

He was born Jan. 28, 1960, in Sunbury, the son of Galen E. Bordner, of Sunbury, and the late Marcella J. (Wagner) Bordner. On Oct. 24, 1981, he married the former Debora M. Rogers, who survives.

Keith attended SUN Area Vocational-Technical School in the machine shop.

He was employed by the Sunbury Textile Mill, working as a machine shop operator.

He was a life member of East End Hose Company, Sunbury.

Keith loved his job, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, family gatherings, his dog, shopping and antique malls. After becoming disabled, he lost his zest for life and his work, which he just loved. His job was his life.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Jesse G. Bordner and his girlfriend, Alyssa Strawser, of Sunbury; and two sisters, Donna J. Ackerman, of Binghamton, N.Y., and Kathy J. Garrison and fiance Richard Poeth, of Sunbury.

Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Sunbury, followed by a memorial service at 11 with Pastor Mark Gittens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Keith’s memory may be made to Higher Hope Ministries, Evergreen Cemetery, Mostly Mutts or Rheumatoid Arthritis Research.

Arrangements are by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
