SUNBURY — Gloria Angeli Blue is at peace, having died on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at the age of 77.
Gloria will always be remembered for her love of books and her devotion to reading. She inspired her entire family to appreciate literature of all genres and to pass along that appreciation to others. She was a 1953 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and earned the admiration of family and friends by earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Susquehanna University in 1982.
She spent the majority of her professional career as periodicals librarian at Susquehanna University.
Gloria also is remembered for her strength of character, her hunger for learning, which ranged from history to the classics, and her skills on the dance floor, which earned her accolades. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was a dedicated mother and devoted wife. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles H. Blue; her four children and their spouses, Bonnie Steck, Vickie and Brad Koch, Audrey Blue and Chad Trego, and Charles E. and Christina Blue; and her sister, Evelyn Kramer; and was blessed with eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and an extended family who always looked to her for counsel and advice.
A gathering of remembrance and celebration will be scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements are by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
