MIDDLEBURG — Brian K. “Kingpin” Klinepeter, 39, of Kreamer Avenue, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his friends and family at 2:34 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, after losing his courageous 14-year-long battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 19, 1973, in Lewisburg, the son of L. Keith and Janet M. (Glant) Klinepeter, of Beavertown. On Aug. 24, 2002, he married Jessica V. (Butcosk) Klinepeter, who survives.
Brian was a 1992 graduate of West Snyder High School and also attended SUN Area Technical Institute, taking classes in electrical systems technology.
He formerly had been employed by Williamsport Electric and at the time of his passing was working as an electrician for Bucknell University, Lewisburg.
Brian was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Kreamer.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, camping, hunting, having campfires and spending time at the Swift Run Lodge hunting cabin. He was very meticulous about his lawn, garage and especially his Chevrolet Silverado truck, which was referred to as “old blue” by his son, Hayden, who was named by Brian after his favorite Moto GP racer Nicky Hayden. Brian began racing 4-wheelers in 1987 and had a very successful career, winning numerous championships and races all over the East until retiring in 2000.
Surviving. in addition to his wife and parents. are one son, Hayden J. Klinepeter, at home; one daughter, Brittney K. Klinepeter, of McClure; his mother and father-in-law, Mark and Kim Butcosk, of Kreamer; one brother-in-law, Jared M. Butcosk, of Kreamer; his maternal grandfather, Arlanda Glant, of Beavertown; his aunts and uncles, Lynn and Nancy Klinepeter, Carol and Glen Boyer, Jim and LouAnn Long, John Butcosk and companion Lottie Baker, Luke and Debra Butcosk, Robin and Rusty Kauffman and Matthew Butcosk; his wife’s grandmother, Harriet Long, with whom he was close; and several cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Dorothy Klinepeter, and his maternal grandmother, Rose Marie Glant.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by the funeral at 2, at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, with Pastor Amanda Range officiating.
Burial will follow in Globe Mills Cemetery.
