Patrick E. Nelling, 61, Milton

MILTON — Patrick E. Nelling, 61, of Woodside Drive, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born July 23, 1951, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Francis X. and Eileen Marie (Bradley) Nelling. He was married to the former Roberta Cowher, who survives.

Patrick was a graduate of Interboro High School in Prospect Park.

He was employed as a truck driver for Wal-Mart.

He enjoyed golfing and watching sports on TV. He was a fan of all Philadelphia teams. He liked to ride motorcycles and was a member of the MC Alternative motorcycle club. Patrick was proud of his sobriety and attended AA meetings regularly. He was sober for 22 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Nicholas B. Nelling, of Milton; one daughter, Morgan L. Nelling, of Milton; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Francis A. and Josie Nelling, Michael D. Nelling, Mark and Terri Nelling and John J. and Dawn Nelling; and five sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann R. and Tim Lyons, Peggy and Dominic Castaldi, Donna Nelling-Lang and Bill Lang, Eileen M. and Bob Smith and Barbara A. and Pat McNamara.

Friends and relatives will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, in St. Gabriel Parish, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
