SELINSGROVE -- Susquehanna University students donated 20 fleece blankets, several bags of snacks, and $375.51 to Kelsey’s Dream in December. Former intern for Kelsey’s Dream, Samantha Phillips, and the Alpha Phi Omega Psi pledge class organized the project. The group of about 30 students collected fleece donations from Susquehanna’s chapter of APO and then spent a Sunday making the blankets and visiting every dorm on their campus to ask for snack and monetary donations. The snacks were used for the Kelsey’s Dream snack pack program for the pediatric cancer patients of Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, while the blankets will be given to Camp Dost, a children’s cancer camp, held in Millville at Camp Victory. Kylie Kuhns, left, founder of Kelsey’s Dream and Sami Phillips with the blankets and snacks.
