HARRISBURG — Watch out for Rebecca Haines.
With three wins under her belt Saturday at the Pennsylvania High School Rodeo Association’s Championship Rodeo, the 11-year-old proved hers is a new name to watch on the junior high circuit.
The Mifflinburg sixth-grader had a stellar Farm Show rodeo debut, landing first place in breakaway roping and first and third in goat tying — all before 7,000 fans.
Rebecca took the champion’s title in breakaway with a 5.1-second time, beating the previous first-place challenger, who finished in 6.2 seconds.
And the breakaway title came using a borrowed horse.
