LEWISBURG — The Union County Conservation District will host a Manure Management Plan Writing Workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Union County Government Center at 155 N. 15th St., Lewisburg.
All farms that generate or land apply manure must have a written Manure Management Plan according to State Law.
This hands-on workshop will cover each step of the plan writing process, and each person will be given a workbook containing all required forms. Participants will leave with the tools needed to comply with State law.
The event will be free of cost and pre-registration is requested. Due to funding criteria, this workshop is for Union County residents only. Call the Union County Conservation District office at 524-3860 by Feb. 22 for information and/or to register for the event.
