LEWISBURG — Author Steve Hunter will be speaking about and signing copies of his first published book at 6 p.m. Feb. 4 at The Public Library for Union County. Training Heroes: The Martial Arts Education of a US Navy Seal focuses on the topic of the martial arts training he provided to US Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell — who has become known as the Lone Survivor and best-selling author of the well known book of the same title.
Steve Hunter is an 8th-degree black belt who has been involved in Japanese and Okinawan martial arts since 1972 and an instructor of this art for 27 years. Taking Luttrell under his wing, Hunter molded him into one of the most feared warriors on the planet, as well as one of the most respected US Navy SEALs in SEAL’s history.
First-run copies of Training Heroes: The Martial Arts Education of a US Navy Seal will be available for purchase for $25 and Hunter will sign copies for those interested. There will also be a question and answer portion of this program, followed by a meet-and-greet with wine and cheese being served.

This program is one of the ways in which the library supports the PA Forward Initiative by providing Basic, Civic and Social Literacy opportunities for learning.
