LEWISBURG — The Public Library for Union County received another in a series of donations of books and CDs from Susquehanna Life magazine to add to the ‘Susquehanna Life Magazine Pennsylvania Collection,’ established by the publication in 2010.
To date, Susquehanna Life magazine has donated over 300 books and a complete set of Susquehanna Life magazines — over 20 years of issues — o the library’s collection.
The collection is a treasure trove of discovery. Spotlighting life in Central Pennsylvania from many different perspectives, the collection is designed to help draw attention to the hidden jewels and undiscovered gems of the region. Dozens of first edition books are included, as are several out-of-print works.
The collection is housed in a free-standing shelving unit located in the central adult section. Comfortable seating nearby encourages readers to relax and browse these regionally-related materials that offer glimpses of the positive, little-known and under-appreciated aspects of life in Central Pennsylvania.
