Poll: More than one in four Pennsylvanians obese
Recent polls have found that over one in four of Pennsylvanians are considered obese.
“There are other states that are higher, but we are higher than the average,” said Dr. Christopher Still, Geisinger Medical Center’s medical director for the Center of Nutrition and Weight Management.

District budget to be voted on in June
School board administrators have tentatively set their June 11 meeting to vote on the budget for the 2013-2014 school year.
Danville is currently examining cuts it can make to reduce a $1.25 million deficit in its budget, a shortfall that will only increase over the years largely due to growing, state-mandated contributions to employee retirement funds and healthcare costs, according to school board president Allan Schappert.
