ALLENWOOD —
Northumberland County Emergency Services is urging residents of Coal Township and Shamokin not to call the 911 Center during the ongoing power outage and report any emergencies to their local fire house.
Shamokin and Coal Township Fire departments will be staffed during the evening to aid residents during the power outage.
The cause of the outage was reportedly due to two ATVs colliding at about 8 p.m., which brought down power lines and started a fire.
