PITTSBURGH (AP) _ A high school principal in Butler County is facing charges of disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation between her husband and a police officer.
Authorities say Mars Area High School principal Anna Saker was charged last Sunday after her husband allegedly became irate and drove away from a police officer who had stopped him for speeding on May 8.
Police say Nazih Saker later threatened and shoved the officer, who had followed him back to the couple's home. When the officer pulled out a baton, Anna Saker allegedly stepped between him and her husband and refused to move.
Mars Area Superintendent William Pettigrew says Saker will remain at the high school's helm. He says her "private situation has nothing to do with the school district."
