TURBOTVILLE -- Rebecca L. Wagner, daughter of Bryan and Lorie Wagner, was named Outstanding Senior at Warrior Run High School for December.
She is a member of National Honor Society (secretary), Drama Club, Defender Pride Club, student council, and Spanish Club. She also participates in concert choir (librarian), Harmonic Minors, and chorale (president). She is a piano accompanist for the middle school choirs.
Her awards and achievements include Distinguished Honor Roll, and multiple performance awards in musicals, choirs, ensembles, piano recitals, talent shows, and church productions.
She is a crew member at Wendy’s.
Wagner will attend Lock Haven University where she will major in recreational management.
Austin D. Bower, son of Timothy and Dixie Bower, of Watsontown, was named Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month for December.
He is a member of National Honor Society, FBLA, student council, and concert choir. He is also captain of the boys soccer team, and a member of the North Union Soccer Team.
His awards and achievements include All State Team, soccer, and PHAC II, first team soccer.
He is employed by Turbotville Great Valu.
Bower will attend college majoring in finance.
Sophia G. Biddle, daughter of Chris and Dorothy Biddle, of Turbotville, was named Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month for December.
She is a member of student council (historian), Tri-Hi-Y, and National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Lady Defender Soccer team and 4-H.
Her awards and achievements include 2012 Homecoming Queen, 4-H Award of Excellence, and a member of the Lady Defender two time State Championship team.
She works on the family farm.
Biddle will attend Lock Haven University where she will major in physician assistant.
